Woodlands Lake - Juniors Match Sun 11th Sept

PLEASE NOTE

There is a juniors match at Woodlands Lake on Sunday 11th Sept, from 9am to 2pm.
Please meet at the disabled swim at 8am.

Please be aware that there is a Mayors fun run on so there may be limited parking.

PGAS Meetings - New day

Starting on the 28th February 2011 our monthly meetings
will be held on the 4th Monday of every month.
Same time and same place, but this enables us to get a room on a quieter night.

If the Mon is a bank holiday then the meeting will revert to the next day (Tuesday).

Woodlands Lake - Forty Hall Bookings

Fishers Green Work Party 2011

There will be a work party at Fishers Green on Sunday June 5th.
We need as many people as possible to turn up
please as this is a PGAS day.

Brookfield Lake - EA Works

From May 6th for 6 weeks the EA are to carry out works at Brookfield Lake.

Whilst the works are being carried out, you can still use the parking
but you must park round to the right hand side and do not obstruct anyone.

There will be a pike match at Woodlands Lake, Forty Hall on Dec 5th.
Meet at 8am at the disabled swim and fish 9am- 2pm.
£5 per person winner takes all.

Brookfield Lake - Booking System (02/08/10)

Please note that due to EA works at Brookfield Lake there is now only 3 swims
allowed to be fished from, which is the 3 in front of the toilet block.
Due to this the committee have decided it is best to re-implement a booking system again.

THERE HAS BEEN RUBBISH FOUND AT BROOKFIELD LAKE.
IF ANY MEMBER OF PGAS IS FOUND LEAVING RUBBISH ON SITE
THEY WILL BE BANNED FROM THE CLUB WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT.
TAKE IT HOME WITH YOU ELSE WE RISK LOSING THE FISHERY!!!

Brookfield Lake

Temporary closure of the high bank of Brookfield Lake due to planting
by our landlords the Environment Agency, this could be up to 6 months!?
Members can only fish the first three swims near the toilet block.

Old River Lea - Important

The Old River Lea will be closed on Wednesday 28th July for one day so that the E.A.
can do their annual fish stock monitoring.

Fishers Green

Fishers Green Consortium win bid for freshwater coarse fishing licence at Fishers Green

Lee Valley Regional Park Authority is pleased to announce that the successful bid for the freshwater coarse fishing licence agreement on the Fishers Green complex came from the Fishers Green Consortium.

This recently formed consortia of angling clubs and societies is made up of the following: Barnet & District A.C, The Civil Service Angling Society, Hertford Angling Society, Hollow Angling Club, The Kings Arms & Cheshunt Angling Society, The Metropolitan Police A.C, Palmers Green Angling Society, Potters Bar A.C, The Red Spinners Angling Society, Verulam Angling Club and Ware A.C.

Fisheries and Angling Manager Gary Smith said “We look forward to an exciting future working with the Fishers Green Consortium”.

Please keep checking back for further updates on this, final details are being sorted out now and we expect all details to be finalised by 16th June but it is possible it may be sooner!
